FINISHPARKIET FLOOR CARE AND MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE AND CARE OF OILED FINISHPARKIET FLOORS
General information:
- Surfaces treated with the Osmo system are highly resistant to everyday dirt (shoe marks, stains, and others). Our finishes consist of an advanced technological mixture of natural oil waxes and hard natural plant waxes. The pigments used in Osmo color products are food-grade, meaning they are completely natural and eco-friendly.
- The biggest threat to the finish on our floors is sand under the pressure of human weight, as the outer layer is very hard and, like any wooden floor, susceptible to scratches. Therefore, surface maintenance is crucial in everyday use. By maintaining, we replenish the hard wax finishes that are subject to wear on surfaces. Floors treated with this system are very durable, and the maintenance system is complete and easy to apply.
Recommendations for regular and periodic care:
1. After floor installation, do not cover the floor with a carpet or polyethylene film for 7 days (if necessary, cover with corrugated cardboard).
2. Perform the first maintenance using Wosk 3029 Cleaning and Care Agent, and for bleached floors, use Wosk, Biały 3087 Cleaning and Care Agent. This should be done after laying the floor.
3. Perform regular maintenance using Wisch-Fix 8016 Concentrate.
4. Protect furniture with felt pads, and for chairs with casters, use specialized protective mats.
5. Implement a dirt collection system (mats at the entrance and exit of a facility, home, or apartment). A correctly designed matting system should have 3 cleaning zones: coarse, intermediate, and drying. In public use, the dirt collection system should cover a minimum of 2.5 meters of cleaning track.
6. Always remove sand and dust from Osmo surfaces promptly (vacuum cleaner, cloth, mop).
7. Keep rubber items or objects separate from Osmo finishes (rubber may react with the finishes).
8. For daily cleaning, use the Wisch-Fix 8016 Concentrate following the application card instructions. Always mop the floor damp but not dripping wet (wipe off excess moisture with a dry cloth).
9. For intensive localized dirt, use the 3029 Spray or 3029 Cleaning and Care Agent (following the application card).
10. During renovation work, protect the floor from damage (e.g., with corrugated cardboard).
11. Lightly sand deep Osmo finish damages with 150-grit sandpaper, or for brushed floors, sand with 150-grit sandpaper, brush with a metal or vinyl bristle brush, then dust off and apply the appropriate amount of oil wax (e.g., 3032 or colored for tinted floors) using a cloth.
12. Rooms with the floor in use should be equipped with a room thermometer, humidity meter, and air humidifier. Regularly ventilate rooms (except in winter) and maintain indoor air humidity at 45-60% and air temperature between 18-24°C. In the winter-heating period, air humidifiers must be used to maintain the required humidity level for warranty purposes.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE AND CARE OF LACQUERED FINISHPARKIET FLOORS
- Cleaning after installation: Depending on the need, use LOBA® Cleaner. Use as little cleaning agent as possible and as quickly as possible (if possible, wipe when damp) to avoid swelling in the joint area.
- First maintenance: Apply a thin, even layer of LOBA® ParkettCare with a LOBATOOL spreading brush or flat mop on a cleaned and dried floor. Avoid creating puddles. To prevent streaks, do not polish the drying layer.
- Regular cleaning: Clean the floor to dry using a mop, soft-bristled brush, or vacuum cleaner. Remove dirt and dust thoroughly as they act like sandpaper. If necessary, wipe when damp (for stubborn dirt, beverage stains, etc.) using LOBA® Cleaner. For machine cleaning, promptly remove any remaining dirt and cleaning agents.
- Regular maintenance: Periodically conserve the floor to replenish the preservative. Clean the floor first from dust and dirt. Use LOBA® Cleaner. Then apply a thin layer of LOBA® ParkettCare.
